The programme aims to equip learners with underpinning knowledge and skills relevant to the intended career pathways alongside a range of transferable skills and competencies.

The Public Safety Academy (PSA) programme provides students with an in-depth introduction to working in the wider public safety industries, including private security, event safety and security, and premises management. The programme aims to equip learners with underpinning knowledge and skills relevant to the intended career pathways alongside a range of transferable skills and competencies.
Modules include the following subject areas:
• Principles of working in the private security industry
• Principles and Practices of Working as a CCTV Operator
• Emergency First Aid at Work
• Counter-terrorism Awareness
