Entry Requirements For The Rail Engineering Training Course

To enroll in our course, you’ll need good written and spoken English skills, equivalent to:

• B1 level qualification (Home Office’s list of recognized English tests)
• Functional Skills Level E3-L1 in English and maths

Don’t worry if you need additional support – we’ll assess your English, maths, and digital skills during the enrolment process and provide any necessary training through our Bridging the Gap program or Functional Skills courses.

Course Duration and Assessment

• Course Duration: 8 weeks (plus 2 additional weeks for outstanding exams/assessments and onsite practical experience)
• Start Dates: Available throughout the year, with new cohorts starting every six weeks from September to July
• Assessment: Portfolio of Evidence, Multiple Choice Exam (online/paper-based), and Practical Assessment in a railway environment
